The Great Bay Partnership awards $38,825 for land transaction costs to five conservation projects

The Great Bay Resource Protection Partnership announced the Fall 2021 recipients of Land Protection Transaction Grant Program grant awards. A total of $38,825 in grant funds will support conservation work on 384 acres of land. The five conservation projects provide over $40,000 in matching funds.

The Land Protection Transaction Grant Program assists land trusts, conservation organizations and municipal governments in Conservation Project Grant the coastal watershed of New Hampshire and Maine with land protection transaction costs including appraisal, land survey, legal, title, recording fees, easement baseline documentation and environmental assessments. The eligible properties are permanently protected through donation or acquisition of land and conservation easements.

The Fall 2021 grant awards include conservation properties representing a diversity of natural resources including woodlands, agricultural lands and open fields, important wildlife habitats and water resources.

  • Great Works Regional Land Trust, $11,725, Conservation Project Grant, Town of South Berwick, ME
  • Town of Hampton, $2,100 Appraisal Grant, Town of Hampton, NH
  • Nippo Lake Association, $3,500, Appraisal Grant, Town of Barrington, NH
  • Southeast Land Trust of NH, $3,500 Appraisal Grant, Town of Newfields, NH
  • Southeast Land Trust of NH, $18,000, Conservation Project Grant, Town of Durham, NH

The Great Bay Resource Protection Partnership is a collaboration of conservation organizations in the coastal region that promotes landscape-scale land conservation and stewardship. Funding for the Land Protection Transaction Grant program is provided by the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation. The Nature Conservancy serves as the fiscal agent for the Great Bay Resource Protection Partnership grant program.

The Great Bay Resource Protection Partnership (GBRPP) is offering grants to assist with land transaction costs for the permanent land protection projects in the coastal watershed area of New Hampshire and Maine. The October 2021 grant round will accept applications for both the Grant Program 1 Prospective Project Appraisals and Grant Program 2 Completed Project Transaction Costs.

The Great Bay Resource Protection Partnership announced the Spring 2021 recipients of Land Protection Transaction Grant Program grant awards. A total of $59,075 in grant funds will support conservation work on 562 acres of land. The eight conservation projects provide over $86,000 in matching funds.

The Land Protection Transaction Grant Program assists land trusts, conservation organizations and municipal governments in Conservation Project Grant the coastal watershed of New Hampshire and Maine with land protection transaction costs including appraisal, land survey, legal, title, recording fees, easement baseline documentation and environmental assessments. The eligible properties are permanently protected through donation or acquisition of land and conservation easements.

The Land Protection Transaction Grant Program assists land trusts, conservation organizations and municipal governments in the coastal watershed of New Hampshire and Maine with land protection transaction costs including appraisal, land survey, legal, title, recording fees, easement baseline documentation and environmental assessments. The eligible properties are permanently protected through donation or acquisition of land and conservation easements.

The Great Bay Resource Protection Partnership announced the Fall 2019 recipients of Land Protection Transaction Grant Program grant awards. A total of $47,505 in grant funds will support conservation work on 364 acres of land. The six conservation projects provide over $48,000 in matching funds.
